The Scottish Islands Peaks Race Squad Runs Again

The Scottish Islands Peaks Race Squad Runs Again 2

Sunday 9th dawned bright. As the sun rose behind Edinburgh Castle, Fettes slept. Or rather, people slept unless they were part of the SIPR squad.

The training run in the hills scheduled for Sunday 2nd was cancelled because of clashes with the Physics trip to CERN in Switzerland and the Creativity, Action and Service trip training day. The dauntless Lower Sixth runners suggested rescheduling… so Sunday saw fourteen runners in the Pentland Hills, building up stamina for the Scottish Islands Peaks Race . As usual, our gallant Headmaster and his dogs joined the fray. It was a sparkling morning of blue sky, with the temperature just above freezing, except on the very tops of the hills.
