The Scottish Islands Peaks Race 2019: so it begins…

SIPR 2018 training 2

Sixteen Fettesians got up early on Sunday 30th Sept, got into their running kit and headed for the Pentland Hills for the first hill running training session for the Scottish Islands Peaks Race 2019 - it is an adult adventure race that involves sailing and a lot of running – the longest route is 19 miles.

This was just a quick run up to the top of Castlelaw Hill… but by May 2019 the final, chosen team will be ready to tackle the peaks on the islands of Mull, Jura and Arran.

Well done to Seb A, Hamish C, Luc G, Thomas K, Nathan L, Louisa L, James M, Harvey M, Ellie M, Guy M, Yuichiro N, Fiona R Ryota O, Gleb S, Caitlin S and Hector T. Thanks to our Headmaster, who turned up with his dogs, like International Rescue, to take one mild case of asthma back to the bus.
