On Sunday the participants of the CAS Service Trip to India took part in their final team-building event before departing for India on expedition in July.

Despite an unpopular early start the team were in good spirits as they left a rainy Edinburgh behind to drive through the equally damp Perthshire countryside to the River Garry near Killiecrankie. On arriving at the Nae Limits base we were informed by staff that an overnight rise in water levels dictated a slight change of itinerary.

River Tubing proved a favourable alternative to the planned Canyoning trip and having changed into a weather appropriate amount of neoprene clothing the group headed down to the river armed with large inflatable rings.

Cliff jumping demanded a great deal of courage, trust and encouragement from all involved but the group were incredibly supportive of each other. Their echoing screams on descent into the chilly waters below attracted a good deal of curiosity and questions from passing walkers. Tubing involved using the inflatable rings to navigate the rapids and rocks to get to the exit point further down the river and the group worked together skillfully.

Back at base the team enjoyed a BBQ lunch in the sunshine before beginning the drive back to the city. Many thanks to the Nae Limits staff who looked after us fantastically as always.
