Mass Pipe Band
The mass Pipe Band Band was made up of 11 schools. We gathered on Bigside, two hours before the actual performance, to practice. Fettes was dressed in the old, traditional uniform and all the members of the band looked very smart. We practised marching for an hour then the Fettes drummers went to put their plaids on. The final performance began and crowds of people assembled to watch the Mass Band. Luckily the weather was good, so morale was high! Apart from the occasional flying drumstick, it was a great success and an enjoyable evening for all.
