AKC BD MTh Farmington Fellow Trinity Hall Cambridge 10 yrs Infantry Officer The Black Watch then School Chaplain at Loretto, The Perse and Gordonsotun before becoming Headmaster of Ardvreck.
What is your most cherished memory from your time at Fettes?
So many but I really enjoyed playing Big Julie in John Arkells production of Guys and Dolls.
And your least?
Queuing to get into the Dining Hall.
Were you awarded a scholarship at Fettes and, if so, what did it mean to you?
An Army Scholarship meant a lot especially as it helped my parents with the fees in my last 2 yrs and they made so many sacrifices to put four sons through the school.
What event or personality left a lasting impression on you?
Neville Clark and his great leadership throughout the school.
Were you a conscientious student?
Tried to be, could have done better.
Outside the classroom, how did you spend your free time at Fettes?
I loved all the sport, CCF and the choir and just being in Edinburgh.
