What is your most cherished memory from your time at Fettes?
Being part of the Scottish School Cross Country Champions team in both 1984 and 1985.

What event or personality left a lasting impression on you?
The two teachers Andrew Murray and Mark Peel were particularly strong influences: they both cared about the all-round development of the pupils and both taught me history.

Were you a conscientious student?
Not really!

Outside the classroom, how did you spend your free time at Fettes?
I spent a lot of time training for long distance running, playing cricket and rugby.
