What is your most cherished memory from your time at Fettes?
Fantastic opportunities outwith the classrooms with sport and CCF and great fun and friendships as a boarder at Glencorse, particularly after lights out and during prep.

And your least?
A Saturday morning training run at 6am crawling through the school steeplechase pond in the December sub-zero chill.

What event or personality left a lasting impression on you?
My brother (as an older school and house prefect) changing my name for his on the steeplechase run list and having to run his race even though I was a couple of years short of the senior age category.

Were you a conscientious student?
I tried my best!

Outside the classroom, how did you spend your free time at Fettes?
Most sports, CCF trips, sub-aqua, pushing press ups for my housemaster Mr Clark (quite often at the school square for having my hands in my pockets), organising chip runs for Glencorse and wandering to and from Safeways as it then was for some food.
