What is your most cherished memory from your time at Fettes?
Inter house matches, singing at chapel, making friends that last for life.

And your least?
Initially I did not like the food, though it improved greatly during my stay there. I also found playing rugby in shorts with a heavy frost on the ground to be a new experience for someone from warmer climates.

What event or personality left a lasting impression on you?
Remembrance day was always a powerful service.

Were you a conscientious student?
Yes, I was not the brightest pupil so had to work hard to achieve good grades.

Outside the classroom, how did you spend your free time at Fettes?
I was a member of the Mountaineering Club, I went skiing when it was organised, I played squash, rugby, hockey, and cricket. I seem to remember always being busy at school!
