Edmund Boulter-Comer

Head of Drama

Like many staff at Fettes, I don’t ‘just teach’. I am a writer and singer who likes rugby and throws an excellent dinner party.

A colourful childhood saw me being born on a television documentary, dancing with the London Festival Ballet and becoming Head Chorister of Wells Cathedral. I have performed in Musical Theatre on Broadway and London’s West End and in plays across the UK.

A Fringe veteran, I am a semi-professional singer. I’ve made numerous CDs and toured Europe extensively. Just before coming to Fettes, I kept a roof over my head by singing as a Lay Clerk in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin and prior to that I was Head of Drama at Wells Cathedral School.

In my spare time, of which there is precious little, I make extravagant cakes (including the legendary Carrington Ton-Cake) and write books set in my home town of Wells in Somerset.
