After finishing my Ph.D, I have been teaching in the independent sector in Scotland since 1996. I have been a Head of Department since 2002 and have carried out various assessment roles for the Scottish Qualifications Authority. Geography, as a contemporary subject based in the real world, is at its best in the great outdoors and I enjoy nothing more than running, cycling and hill walking in our wonderful natural landscape.
