Kimmerghame

Housemaster - Richard Smith

“…duty is the one and sole thing worth living for.” – Dr A.W. Potts

Openness, kindness and responsibility are the watch words for the Kimmerghame Family but most of all the boys try to live by the tenet that you should always put others first and self second: we believe this creates a uniquely happy, safe and rewarding environment in which to grow up.

Making the most of opportunities

Kimmerghamians are privileged to live in a house with unrivalled facilities while at the same time encouraged to make the most of the opportunities they get and the best of themselves in all areas of school life. In turn, we hope this cultivates team players, leadership skills, confidence and self-reliance.

Giving it a go

For me, a lifetime spent trying my hand at anything and everything has taught me the value of ‘giving it a go’ and it is this philosophy that I hope every Kimmerghamian will take to his heart.

Warm family atmosphere

I live with my wife, Sharon Lewis (Head of Science), and our daft Wirehaired Pointer, Wilf.
